PDO THREADLIFT

A PDO thread lift is a minimally invasive treatment designed to provide subtle lifting and support while encouraging the skin’s natural collagen response over time.

Because thread placement is more involved than a routine injectable treatment, experience matters. Dr. Savitha Susarla brings more than 20 years of medical experience to OM Medispa, along with ongoing advanced training in aesthetic medicine and a careful understanding of facial anatomy, balance and patient selection.

At OM Medispa, PDO thread lifts are approached conservatively and thoughtfully. The goal is not to replicate a surgical facelift, but to create a refreshed, natural-looking result for appropriately selected clients who want meaningful improvement without surgery.

How a PDO Thread Lift Works

PDO, or polydioxanone, threads are absorbable sutures carefully placed beneath the skin to provide support and reposition select areas of facial tissue.

Some threads are designed to create an immediate lifting effect, while the presence of the threads can also stimulate collagen production as the body naturally responds to them. The threads gradually dissolve over time, while newly produced collagen may continue to support the treated area.

Treatment is customized according to facial anatomy, skin quality and the degree of correction being sought.

What Can a PDO Thread Lift Address?

Thread lifts may be considered for clients experiencing mild to moderate skin laxity or early changes in facial contours.

Common treatment areas may include:

  • Cheeks and midface

  • Jawline & Jowls

  • Lower face

  • Neck

  • Brows

A consultation is important because thread lifting is not the right solution for every type or degree of laxity. Some clients may achieve better results with injectables, collagen-stimulating treatments, skin rejuvenation, or surgical options.

What to Expect

PDO thread lift treatments are performed without traditional surgery, but they are more involved than a routine injectable appointment.

After treatment, temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness, tightness or puckering can occur as the tissue settles. Your provider will give you specific aftercare instructions and explain any temporary restrictions on exercise, facial movement, sleeping position or other activities.

While some lifting may be visible soon after treatment, the appearance can continue to evolve as swelling resolves and collagen remodeling occurs.

How Long Do Results Last?

Results vary based on the number and type of threads used, treatment area, skin quality, age and individual response.

The PDO threads themselves gradually dissolve, while collagen stimulated by treatment may continue to provide support after the threads are gone. Results are temporary, and future maintenance or complementary treatments may be recommended depending on your goals.

Why Experience Matters

A successful thread lift depends on much more than placing threads beneath the skin. Facial anatomy, tissue quality, direction of pull, thread selection and patient candidacy all affect the safety and quality of the outcome.

At OM Medispa, Dr. Savitha Susarla evaluates each client individually to determine whether PDO threads are an appropriate option and how they fit into the bigger picture of facial rejuvenation.

The goal is always thoughtful treatment — not simply performing a procedure because it is available.

How Long Do Results Last?

You don’t need to decide that before you walk through the door. A consultation allows Dr. Susarla to evaluate your facial anatomy, skin quality, and goals and discuss whether a thread lift — or another approach — makes the most sense for you.
