Laser hair reduction destroys hairs at the growing stages, therefore, several treatments are recommended. Hairs that have been destroyed are either permanent or weaken by the laser. Possible regrowth can occur if hormonal changes occur. Treatment is good for light to medium skin types. Treatment will achieve 60-90% in reduction of hairs, depending on thickness of hair shafts and skin color. Larger hair strands respond better than very fine strands.
Hair removal using thread to twist hairs out of the pore. Great for clients whose skins result in greater exfoliation through microdermabrasion, chemical peels, prescription topical for rapid cell turn over, or systemic drugs which alter skin pliability
Hair removal using hard wax or soft wax to remove hair from the root. Soft wax (wax that requires strips for removal) is used mainly for larger surface areas. Hard wax is used for bikini, brazilian, underarms, and face where skin is more sensitive. Good for all skin types except for compromised skin or fragile skin from system drug use.
